Raffling a vintage Deere

Raffling a vintage Deere

Trinity Journal staff

This 69-year old, professionally restored John Deere tractor will soon be up for raffle in Trinity County. The 1952 Model M comes with a side-sickle mower attachment and has been professionally restored to working condition.

The tractor belonged to Brad Miller and was donated to the Fair by the Miller family which has had it for about 25 years.

According to Billie Miller, the tractor will be raffled to benefit the Fair, Future Farmers of America and 4-H clubs, it’s yet to be determined how it will be divided.

Billie said they got the classic machine over 25 years ago through a tractor club in Redding. She said it became her interest to get it restored.

She said the tractor will be trailered and displayed around the county and tickets will be available soon. Billie said the winning ticket for the tractor will be drawn at the Livestock Auction during the Trinity County Fair in August. Be sure to check the county fair website for more details and look for the tractor in the coming months.
