An expanded two-day Weaverville Chamber of Commerce Mountain Magic Christmas is set for Nov. 27-28, and includes the traditional Old-Fashioned Seasonal Celebration downtown Friday, and something new — Santa’s Small Business Saturday.

The Old-Fashioned Seasonal Celebration starts on the afternoon of the 27th with kid-friendly activities planned throughout town. The Friday evening Open House will be from 5 to 8 p.m. featuring in-store promotions and Holiday Passport transactions. Traditional outdoor fun includes food and craft vendors and traditional caroling along downtown Main St.

Santa’s Small Business Saturday events on the 28th are focused uptown; starting at 11 a.m. and wrapping up by 3 p.m. They include a Kids Lump of Coal Hunt, Mrs. Claus and Santa appearances in uptown locations, games, Santa’s Sleigh Classic Car uptown gathering and random drive-bys across town.
