Clampers install Lewiston memorial

The E. Clampus Vitus Trinitarians chapter 62 installed a memorial rock at the entrance of the Lewiston Pioneer Cemetery in memory of the pioneers who are buried there. They dedicated it also to those whose gravemarkers have disappeared over the years: Teresa Domeici, Charley Kise, Florence Kise and B. Van Matre. The Ancient and Honorable Order of E Clampus Vitus is a fraternal organization dedicated to the preservation of the heritage of the American West, especially the history of the Mother Lode and gold mining regions of the area. They refer to themselves as ‘Clampers’ and have fun doing good deeds. They also weed-eated the cemetery and did some general cleanup.
