The Hayfork Lions Club is looking for enough interest to sponsor a Sweet Street Trick or Treat for Halloween. In this event, businesses or clubs would set up along the street with candy to give out to trick or treaters. It would be from the Asian Store west to the Dairy Store from 4 to 7 p.m. If you are interested in participating or have feedback, call or text Rebecca at 784-3606 or Shawnee at 638-5718 by the 20th.

You’ve Got Mail is having an all-ages drawing contest for Halloween! Pick up a coloring page marked with your age group, color it, then return it to have it hung up and your name put into a bucket of your age group. On the 29th, two names from each age group will be drawn. Each winner will receive a gift certificate for two free one-day movie rentals. Afterward, one of the winners will randomly be chosen to receive the grand prize – a Halloween gift basket!

Next Thursday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. is the Roderick Senior Center’s Tri-Tip Drive-Thru Dinner. For $15, you can receive a meal of tri-tip, potato salad, French bread, baked beans, and a cookie.
