The Golden Age Center Board would like to thank all of you who came out for our Hamburger Drive-Through Fundraiser. We raised more than $1,600 profit, thanks to donations of food, and the hard work and organization of the prep team. The drive-through was really slick. Hours had been spent on Sunday by a dedicated group putting everything non-perishable into 200 bags, so that when customers came through they were able to receive their bags as soon as they had paid, thanks to the quick work of the Boy Scout troop that finished assembling the bags for us. Kudos to Dave Albiez, Annie Nugent, the Boy Scout troop, and the hardworking team that made it all possible. And, also, many thanks to the Wildlands Firefighters and Support Teams, and Ron of Crown Food Services for their donations
Halloween is coming! Do you have your costume ready? While the Blue Barn may not have many actual costumes, you should be able to find attire there that you can adapt. I have seen some interesting things there that have great possibilities! Also – don’t forget that today, Wednesday, is the Manager’s Special day. You never know what will be on sale. Come in and check it out.
We still have the GoFundMe page. The direct link is https://gofund.me/c94de612. Our friends at Buildaberg have donated their time and expertise to make this site for us. Take a look, donate and share it with your friends. We appreciate all your donations.
You can help us out by volunteering in the Blue Barn. We are open 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The volunteers have fun working with others, sorting new merchandise and finding hidden treasures. Join us. Call Annie at 951-463-1919. We would love to see you.
