It keeps on giving

A Junction City family found themselves the keepers of a 32-year-old fruitcake during the New Year’s celebration at the North Fork Grange Hall Dec. 31. Several Junction City area families have had possession of the fruitcake since Kathy Adams first possessed it in 1988. It’s been passed on many times, and despite the obvious temptation, there are no bite marks on it. In the spirit of friendship and loving kindness, Drew Franklin passed on to Liz and Duncan McIntosh. Liz remarked that with three kids and pets, she could not guarantee the fruitcake would be passed on in the same condition as it was received.
