Every fall, residents celebrate the return of the fall salmon with the Trinity River Salmon Festival and the Hyampom Salmon Gathering. This year, both events have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In their place, the entire month of November is dedicated to Salmon Season.

Learn about salmon and watersheds through educational videos created by local enthusiasts of the natural world, nature art contest, scavenger hunt for kids, online activities, and more throughout the entire month. Find complete details at TrinityRiver.org, Trinity County RCD Facebook Page, Trinity River, CA Facebook Page, and the Watershed Center Facebook and Instagram. Or contact organizers directly: Maya Williams mwillians@tcrcd.net, or Zack Pattek zack@thewatershedcenter.com.

Salmon Season is sponsored by the Trinity County Resource Conservation District, the Watershed Research and Training Center, and the Trinity River Restoration Program.
