Music in the Park Benefit Concert Series features Tigerknife
The Trinity County Arts Council and Weaverville Chamber of Commerce will host Music in the Park on Saturday, Aug. 6, following the Art Walk, at Lee Fong Park Amphitheater, 101 Lorenz Road, in historic downtown Weaverville. Dinner and drinks begin at 7:30 p.m., with free live music from 8 to 10 p.m.
This month’s concert beneficiary will be Ascend Wilderness Experience, a nonprofit organization in its 20th year providing wilderness opportunities free of charge to youth in Trinity County.
It will be Nacho Night, with beverages by The Water Bar, beer by Trinity County Brewing Company, and music by Tigerknife, featuring Christian Farrell (guitar and vocals), David Collodel (bass guitar), and James Johansing (drums and backing vocals).
All Music in the Park donations and proceeds will benefit local nonprofit organizations, highlighting a different community organization each month. In addition to the evening’s festivities, the Arts Council and Chamber of Commerce will raise money for Ascend Wilderness Experience throughout the entire month of August. Donations can be made at the event, or all month long by visiting www.trinitycountyarts.org/donate.
