No one will deny that keeping up with the clothing needs of growing kids can be challenging here in Trinity County. However, if you want to save yourself a trip over the hill, you’d be wise to check out Gifts and Cuddles, across from the Courthouse in Weaverville. Owner Corrie Abercrombie says she just opened the business, offering kids clothing, shoes, toys and gifts. The inventory is a smart mix of new and used items, gifts and more.

“We also take in gently-used items,” she said. “People can trade those in for store credit.” The credit can be used to buy children’s items.

Having just opened, Abercrombie says she is still working on some aspects of the store, which she hopes will offer a place for parents to find clothing and shoes at affordable prices.

“We’ll have a family gift section soon,” she said. “We’re working on it now, to have little gifts that are affordable … so kids can get holiday gifts for their parents.”

A Weaverville resident for about 20 years Abercrombie says she used to own and operate a clothing store on the other end of town.

“I’m glad to have a store open again,” she smiled. She’s open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Come see what she has for your kids and cash in on your own kids’ clean, gently-used items.
