Ace Hardware

All was merry and bright along Main Street and these businesses were some of the shiniest with Plotzke's Ace Hardware winning in the Straight Stretch and Main Street Shoes winning in the Historic District.

Nothing says Christmas like a 15-foot inflatable snowman or the life-size nativity scene in front of Sharp’s Electric. Businesses throughout Weaverville joyfully decorated their store fronts as part of a competition sponsored by the Weaverville Chamber of Commerce.

Ice cycle lights, inflatable toys galore, reams of sparkling ribbon, and boughs of greenery decked the businesses in Weaverville this holiday season. Judges struggled to pick the best decorated businesses as part of the Weaverville Chamber’s Mountain Magic Christmas celebration.

“How does one compare a store with just a window and awning with a business with a yard to decorate?” they pondered.

This year, the judges awarded $100 checks to Plotzke’s Ace Hardware as the winner of the “Straight Stretch” and Main Street Shoes as the winner of the “Historic District” with honorable mention to Sharp Electric, The Water Bar, and Tangle Blue Saloon.

The Weaverville Chamber of Commerce thanks all businesses that made the effort to bring Christmas spirit to Weaverville.
