Trinity County’s unemployment rate rose from 3.2% in May to 3.5% in June, lower than a year ago when the June unemployment rate was 6.2%, according to preliminary data issued last week by the Employment Development Department Labor Market Information Division.

The national unemployment rate in June was 3.8%, up slightly from 3.4% the month before and down from 6.1% in June 2021. California’s rate this June was 4.0%, up from 3.5% in May and down from 8.2% the year before.
