TOP Properties

This month marks a milestone, and a new direction for TOP Properties as it celebrates its 10th year in business, and transition the company name completely from Trinity Outdoor Premier Properties to TOP Properties.

In January of 2011, a new real estate office opened in Hayfork, known as Trinity Outdoor Premier Properties (aka “TOP Properties”). Owner/Broker Summer Bashore decided after seven years of real estate sales that it was time to take it to the next level and open her own brokerage. Having worked with Angela Riggs previously, Summer offered her a position as her “assistant,” however over the last decade Angela has contributed far more to the company than a typical assistant. The two of them never imagined the growth and success that could be possible from their humble beginnings in Hayfork 10 years ago!

Now, there are 11 licensed agents and three assistants, with offices in Hayfork, Weaverville and Eureka; and TOP Properties is actively recruiting agents at this time.

While 2020 certainly had its challenges, there were also new opportunities for evolution in the services provided within the real estate industry. Expanding into Humboldt County with a new office location in the heart of Old Town Eureka, TOP Properties persevered as a team and finished 2020 selling the most volume of real estate in Trinity County, and is looking forward to increasing their business in Humboldt County in 2021.

While Bashore focuses on overall company growth and leadership, Riggs has stepped into a field sales support role with Bashore, along with management support for the company.

Summer Bashore, attributes the success of the company to having established a reputation for being straight-forward, hardworking, honest, knowledgeable and results-oriented; and everyone that works at TOP Properties embraces those values in their work.

“I’ve been fortunate in attracting team members that recognize the core values of TOP Properties and choose to work here because of the positive and productive work environment. We’ve trained several new agents, and welcomed several experienced agents to the team over the past decade. Each one of them has contributed to our current success, and I am grateful for each person’s contribution along the way. We have very low turnover of agents, most who leave TOP Properties either retire or leave the real estate industry entirely; I am proud of this fact, it means I’ve accomplished my goal of creating a great place to work in a challenging industry,” Bashore said.

She also acknowledges Riggs’ significant contribution, dedication and loyalty from day one; she jokes that they “share a brain, but working as a cohesive team has proven to be very effective and a foundation for the success of TOP Properties as a company.”

To celebrate their 10-year anniversary, and promote supporting local economies, TOP Properties is offering a drawing for 10 $50 gift certificates to the winners’ choice of a local independently owned business! There will be four winners drawn from the Hayfork office, and 3 winners each from the Weaverville and Eureka offices. To enter, all you need to do is one of the following: Stop by any of their offices and say “Congrats on 10 years!” and provide your contact info; call any one of their offices to say “Congrats on 10 years!” and provide your contact info; or find them on Facebook (TOP Properties – Trinity & TOP Properties) or Instagram (@toppoldtown) and then like and share one of their anniversary posts. All new followers on social media will also be entered into the drawing.

In addition to the drawing, TOP Properties is kicking off a new campaign of “Doing Good Business in 2021” where, with every new listing taken in 2021, $100 will be donated to a local cause of the seller’s choice.  With every closed escrow in 2021, TOP Properties will donate $100 to a local cause of the buyer’s choice. Bashore firmly believes in supporting our own communities, and says “those that dedicate time, effort, and energy helping our communities thrive deserve our support!”

While their roots run deep in Trinity, Outdoor, and Premier, they’re moving forward with an abbreviated name that’s a little easier to say, write and remember. The TOP Properties team appreciates the communities support over the past decade, and is looking forward to another great decade ahead.
