looking for a home

This happy, smiling gal is Sammie! She is an intact female pit who came in as a stray just prior to the fires and rode the crazy ride to Redding and back with us when we evacuated. She is sweet with people and well-behaved in her kennel and on leash but has a noticeable prey drive and will need a home without small animals. We have not had an opportunity to introduce her to any other dogs because the shelter has been full of evacuees, so if you have other dogs plan to bring them for a meet and greet before making an adoption decision. If you have questions about Sammie or would like more information on adoption please call the Trinity County Animal Shelter at 623-1370.
